Jim Feldkamp Discusses His 3 Favorite National Parks in the U.S.

If you live in the United States of America, then you’re fortunate to be surrounded by beauty almost anywhere in the country. From the lush greenery in Washington to the vibrant beaches in Florida, the U.S. has scenery like no other. And luckily, many of the country’s most beautiful places are protected by the federal government. These areas are called National Parks. Below, Jim Feldkamp describes three of his favorite parks found in the United States.

Grand Canyon National Park

While it may be a big hole in the ground, the Grand Canyon provides some of the most unique scenery on the planet. From the sheer mass of the canyon walls to the gorgeous red rock everywhere you look, Jim Feldkamp believes that Grand Canyon National Park is a must-see. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by and check out views from multiple areas of the park. If you can, Jim Feldkamp suggests taking a hike into the canyon to gain a new perspective.

Rocky Mountain National Park

As we head east and climb, climb, then climb some more, we eventually end up in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. And if you want to get a taste of what these mountains are all about, then a top destination is Rocky Mountain, National Park. Sitting in the wonderful small town of Estes Park, Colorado, you’re at the gate of the park. As you make your way up the winding road, you’ll get to experience some of the best views you can ever imagine. From herds of elk to the mammoth mountains that plummet 14,000 feet in the air, the elevation isn’t the only thing that takes your breath away.

Zion National Park

As we stay in the western half of the United States, another favorite National Park for Jim Feldkamp is Zion National Park. Sitting in Central Utah, this remarkable park has everything; massive rocks, crystal-clear rivers, lush greenery, and so much more. A huge reason why Jim Feldkamp loves this park is that there is only one road that runs through it, and they shut it down for travelers. That being said, you must take a bus, bike, or walk from one destination to the next. And if you love hiking, then Jim Feldkamp says this place is for you. From light walks down the river to crazy ascents up steep cliffs, Zion National Park provides hikes for the whole family.

Being an avid traveler, Jim Feldkamp believes that everyone should hit the road and experience the beauty of this world. And if you make it out west, then Jim Feldkamp believes that visiting these three National Parks is a must!
